Ok that's just weird. So you're saying that on older BIOS revisions, BIOS settings aren't doing what they say they're doing?

bios versions prior to v4.0 did not allow you to set voltage to anything between 1.45-1.55v. No matter which setting you chose, it would default to 1.425v or so. There was also a CPU speed reporting error in the POST screen that would show an OC of 8x300 to be 384mhz, for example, though the CPU was actually running at 2.4ghz. Never bothered me as I went straight to 1.6v anyway (1.568v actual).

Those issues were fixed in v4.0, not v5.0. v5.0 is a final version of the v518 beta that supports dual-core AMD CPUs. It seems to confuse Windows on some machines because it is significantly different enough from the prior versions. From what I can gather, if you do decide to flash to v5.0, do it BEFORE you install Windows to avoid problems (like reinstalling Windows, lol).

I would stick with the v4.0, iMHO, if you want to even bother.
