Do you need/want SATA? Firewire? onboard LAN?

They are both good mobos, with the ASUS coming in at a premium price. The EPoX is a great overclocker (as is the ASUS, but EPoX has a better rep in the OC dept).

If you don't need the extras that the ASUS has, save yourself some $$ and get the EPoX...put those $$ toward memory or a better GPU.

I would pick the Asus. Although they have gotten a bad rep recently, i have always been a fan and other than Intel, i would say they are best mobo makers out there.

They've gotten a bad rep lately mainly because they've earned it.

My first A7N8X worked great for about two months, then suddenly died. My second one wouldn't retain it's CMOS settings properly and it also exhibited that annoying cold boot problem.

Get the 8rda+.

8RDA+ because it's easily as good and has a lower price.

don't fall victim to overpriced hardware. :D

jokes for the Asus guys.. I just believe you don't need to pay the premium for the Asus name anymore.
