Battery life that doesn't diminish the more times you charge... that'd be a nice start for me.

One you can fold up and put in your pocket. Can be an OLED screen and a foldable segmented keyboard. Non-volatle large memory so it can be hard driveless. Fuel cell powered. Built in capability to function as a projector for multimedia displays

Not sucking.

Edit: The current 15" Powerbook is as close as it's gotten so far. It only has three drawbacks other then price

1) Not x86. Bad, bad thing.
2) Suckage video (Can you blame it? It's a mac)
3) Can't use standard IDE harddrive. This feature is CRUCIAL. I know it means giving up a LOT in terms of slimness, but don't ship the laptop with a 3.5" drive in it, let those of us that need it add it and deal with the weight and power consumption issues ourselves. External enclosures DON'T CUT IT.

Uh well it would appear that the powerbook is nowhere near as close as it's gotten? lol what a silly post.
seriously, wtf?

Loooooooooooooooooooooong battery life. External speakers (on the sides for 'off mode' use as an mp3 player (only sound card an HDD getting juice).
