What new car should I buy? $20-35K

I really like the FJ Cruiser, with Convenience Package & Upgrade Package #1
the MSRP comes out to $28,300.

But I am also considering other cars such as Subaru Legacy, or the Audi A4, A3.

Let me know what you recommend, and if you have a type of car that I am looking for, please let me know how you like it. Thanks!

Legacy and Audi are both great choices. Our family has had both and we currently have 2 Legacys, very reliable and great in the snow. Same with the A4 as well, although I liked the interior of the Audi much more.

indeed

he could most likely get into a spec. b too if he wanted

Edit: For the record I have an 05 LGT Limited and love it. Our family has a number of nice cars (I'm stuck driving a new Benz E500 4matic currently due to a housing issue) and I wouldn't trade any of them for my Legacy.

My 2001 A4 Avant (B5) has way too many reliability issues - always in the shop, a la Volkswagen.

Unless you really want one, I sort of discourage people from buying Audis now.

I heard too many reliability issues with Audi as well. The new ones look very attractive, but I don't want to drive a rental all the time while it sits at the dealership to be fixed.

I think I want a 4WD as well and I do like the new CR-V.

Why not buy a cheap Jeep Cherrokee and use the other money to buy toys that the jeep can pull arond with to fun destinations? You know the Jeep and say jet ski, boat, bike, snomobile, camper, why waste all that money one something thats justs going to depreciate even more. buy use very cheap and have alot of toys with the rest of the funds?

Or are you that well off it wouldnt matter and can get such an expensive car and all the toy mentioned too😛

ok let me define what i am looking for once again... $20-35k, brand new car, all or 4 WD.... The A3 3.2 is a nice car i am considering that

Or spend a few thousand on a lift and 33" tires... For which Jeep is the ONLY practical option.

Few...thousand? You must be buying expensive lifts!

OP: How about a newish WRX for onroad and an older FJ40 for offroad? Best of both worlds.. 😀
