I'm an atheist. I've devoted my life to science. The scientific method is the best we've got for finding answers about the nature of the universe.

She is not.

So what?

Her music is some of the most beautiful I've heard.

She lived in a different time. Maybe she was the scientist of her time.

She is Hildegard Von Bingen, and this is some of her music which I'm listening to right now:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZa95OgwCEU&list=PL1908D49FE33FC169

Caritas abundat in omnia
de imis excellentissima super sidera
atque amantissima in omnia
quia summo regi osculum pacis dedit

Soprano: Maite Itoiz

This beautiful chant from Hildegard von Bingen is included in the album "An Ancient Story" from ELFENTHAL (www.elfenthal.com)

Translated from Latin to English using Google Translate:

Love abounds in all
from the lowest to the highest stars
loving all
for the kiss of peace to the top

I wonder why? I realize everyone has different musical tastes but I can't imagine someone not finding it beautiful.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say your subconscious has been programmed through repetition to enjoy different music. Possibly at a young age. My brain has developed the neural pathways to enjoy this. Also likely at a young age as I haven't listened to anything like this before as far as I can consciously remember. I just stumbled into it and I like love it. To each their own. Have a good night.

You lost me in there somewhere among you're neural pathways being highly developed or something.

Have a nice night yourself. :D
