Very hard i guess. If my information is correct, he has his own gym. And he is 48 years old not 49, i made a mistake. He fought in Japan in the Hoost cup at march 23 this year. http://www.kickboxingplanet.com/news...homas-stanley/ Since this is a music thread : Mr probz - Waves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bglau-hHPOU

i suppose my question is how does he train compared to mirko

mirko used to train very intensely and that must not have been good for his body

do you notice how mirko went to "old age' very early

i am a fan of the cerebral and skill based style of dr. perfect

mirko is more or less a power striker

seems to me in that fight that dr. perfect can throw kicks casually off his hip while mirko more or less has to power his way through them and his kicks are a lot slower. now i remember that his kciks in pride could be very fast

why did ernesto hoost never fight in mma

i remember something abo0ut how the fight style of mirko was perfect for mma. was this because he could scare wrestlers from trying to take him down. so basically he could keep them at range and throw kicks and punches all day

so do you think that ernesto hoost was just not powerful enough to scare any wrestlers from trying to take him down and pound him out?

My guess is that looking at the body type of Ernesto Hoost, he would not be a good wrestler. I bet he can launch punches and kicks with extreme force, though. He seems to me a guy that has a lot of "fast twitch" muscle fibers. He can explode in power with punches and kicks, but cannot maintain sustained muscle contraction for long. That is my guess. He is still stronger then most people though, working out his whole life has left him with a lot of pure strength mind you. But he is not a huge muscled guy. I think that is why Alistar Overeem has grown so much over the years in muscle size to be able to keep throwing fast punches and kicks but also be able to wrestle and use sustained (aerobic) muscle strength.

P.S. I have no idea how he trains. He has a website with blog :

http://www.ernestohoost.nl/

I do not know hot to use website translation from google. In the past i could just copy and paste a link and it would be translated, now google translate gives an error.

anything to say on the petty politics of kickboxing

like all the shit between bas boon and alistair overeem and k1

aslo i think ernesto hoost sould have a good chance to learn good ju jitsu

Me likey.

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

As a drummer myself, she's some pretty good chops here and there going.

Not technical, but is about like White Stripes, not much technique, but the female drummers can really get into it here and there.
