Buckethead - Whitewash (Live)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8akmP6Sjv2o

Love Buckethead's guitar work.

I looked it up.
The guitar sounds to me better live than the studio version.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

More of a mystical sound.
Is there a live version without the distortion of the audio/video recording ?
Or is the distortion making the guitar sound even better ?
The guitar is mesmerizing.

I agree - his live performances are much better than the studio. The "problem" with his live performances is that he plays his songs differently each time, so we're at the mercy of whoever recorded it quality-wise. Here is another version that I like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gHJKg9OJk4&feature=related

On a side note, I love his guitar and will own one someday.

I like the other performance more to be honest. The guitar sound has more volume, it is more present. It sounds less clinical, clean. The emphasis is more on all the vibrations the guitar as a whole(string and wood) generates. Not just the string alone. I do not know how to explain it.

Good for you, buying that guitar one day. I can assume then that you are quite the guitar player yourself yes ? :)
