New Dream Theater album. It's decent - my favorite of theirs in a while, but there's nothing that pulls me back in like their stuff from the 90s. I usually like to give albums 3 or 4 listens before I make a firm decision about them.

I like this cover song : She makes the drums stand out more when compared to the original IMHO.

I noticed that a lot of 80s and 90s songs, with a few different ways of playing the instruments like for example the drums. The music is empowering. Perhaps gated reverb or some other special technique. I do not know.
