What MP3 player should I get?

I really want that new creative muvo2 with the 4 gb microdrive, but it doesn't seem to be available... any idea when it will be available or should I get something else? And what should I get, I am not too picky about the brand or the amount of storage, its just gotta have at least 1 gb

EDIT: Are there going to be MP3 players that have OGG capabilities anytime soon? Also I see that the ipod mini is $249, if I were to get this would I not be better off getting the $299 15 gb model?
EDIT: I just saw the IRIVER IHP-120 20GB HDD MP3 PLAYER when I was searching for mp3 players that had ogg capabilities... is that any good or should I wait a while for the technology to get better.

Actually personally, if price didn't matter, I'd get the iPod mini cuz... it's just looks cool. but then again i can pry out the MD from the muvo2 and sell it 😀
 
I picked up a Rio Nitrus (1.5gig, only 3oz, holds 400 songs) for 124.99 from buy.com after all was said and done. Recently a 4gig Nitrus was released. I highly reccomend this player.

I love it! So much smaller than my old iPod. And really easy to carry around, and it came with sennheiser earbuds. Not to mention the charge last 16 yes SIXTEEN hours.

I would actually prefer a MuVo2 because it doesn't require drivers (works as UMS) in uploading files AND music, is somewhat smaller than an iPod mini (albeit a little heavier), has double the battery life, and is cheaper (~188 on amazon.com). If you really want, you can still use iTunes with it, as well as all the other programs available online (Music Match, Windows Media player, etc).

However, the iPod has the added chic factor that girls flock to, a slick, touch-sensitive scroll wheel, and a larger screen. Both are made of aluminum.

yeah I was looking for the better battery life, thats why I didnt really consider the ipod mini... how much smaller is the ipod mini than the standard ipod anyways?
EDIT: besides if I were gonna spend that much on the mini ipod I might as well get a full ipod... my only problem with the ipod is battery life is only 8 hours. Is there another generation of the ipod coming out soon that maybe has better battery life?
 
Well if you think 8 hours of battery life isn't enough, you must be a pretty demanding person.

I've got the regular ipod (not the mini)... so far it lives up to it's 8 hours claim, you just can't skim through song selections that much. And if you do happen to burn out the battery pretty fast, it only takes a whopping 3 hours to charge it, if that.

The mini is quite a bit smaller than the regular ipod. I love my ipod and would recommend it highly. Just be sure to get a nice case for it 🙂

But the batteries are lithium right? And that means they have a memory does it not? So I would have to burn out the batteries to recharge it.

No, quite the opposite. Li batteries have the least memory effect out of any of the batteries out there, and you don't need to totally discharge it before recharging it.

no. apple doesn't sell ogg ... they want to push AAC / mpeg4 because it's secure. apple has no intent to offer any other formats besides AAC/mpeg4, mp3, wav and aiff.
