<<Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory>>

GREAT movie. So funny on so many different levels, Gene Wilder plays the role to perfection.

And who can forget the computer:

"I will now ask the computer to tell us the location.. of the GRAND prize"
*Lifts printout* Voice starts hopeful, ends crushed.
"I won't tell. That would be cheating"
"I am now telling the computer, that if it reveals the location, I will gladly share with it the GRAND prize"
*Lifts printout*
"What would a computer do with a lifetime supply of chocolate?"
*Gets sour expression on face*
"I am now telling the computer EXACTLY what it can do with a lifetime supply of chocolate!"

😀

Edit: I remember my senior year in high school we read the poem that Wonka sings while he's on the bike in his secret lab (I think): "Spring time, the only pretty ring time.. Sweet lovers love the spring"

I started laughing out loud in class and everyone looked at me like I was a psycho. 😉

Fletch rocks. I love Chevy Chase back in the day

Fletch
National Lampoons Vacation.
National Lampoons European Vacation
Christmas Vacation
Bloodsport (once a month)
The Story of Ricki Oh (This is one of the funniest movies I have seen in my life)
Predator
FULL METAL JACKET

year of the dragon
the edge
pulp fiction
star wars trilogy
back to the future 1 and 3
contact
rounders

damn what the hell is going on with fusetalk, that ad is screwing everything up for me

Good stuff.
My roomate watched it, or Fletch Lives, or Christmas Vacation, everyday.

I still love Xmass vacation.
At the local bar, Randy Quaid and a few others were in town visiting.
Christmas Vacation is one of the most popular movies I can think of amongst my friends, but we all tried to be cool, and not make a big deal out of him...accept for one girl.
She sees him, does a double take, and runs up to him screaming, "Hey, Eddie! The $hi77ers Fulll!"

<< him screaming, "Hey, Eddie! The $hi77ers Fulll!" >>

OH man that is an awesome movie. Even though I can recite every single part of that movie I can watch it at any time.

I recorded that movie to tape and listened to it in the car on my trip to my grandparents house last christmas. Its still just as funny without the video.

Maetryx here, 😎

I don't think comedies make very good repeats, because it's like hearing the same joke over and over. That said, I have a high tolerance for Leslie Nielsen movies. So:
Comedies
Wrongfully Accused
Naked Gun series
The Three Amigos

Action movies lose something with repeated watchings also, but mostly the suspense is lacking and the badguy's seem REALLY CHEESY after the first time (Cliffhanger is AWFUL after the first time). These still are cool:
Actions
Aliens
Blade Runner
Robocop (the first R rated movie I saw in a theater and I was only 16 😱 )
Way of the Gun

Other
Beyond the Mind's Eye

Yeah, as far as replayability, Christmas Vacation seems to get funnier even after 100 viewings.
I know I have seen it that many times, and I bet I am not alone.
Everything kills me.
Like the eggnog cups are from Walley World.
And, this is sort of hard to catch, when Eddie and Clark are shopping, in between grabbing bags of dog food, Eddie grabs his crotch.

ALIEN 1-4
PULP FICTION
BLADE RUNNER
PRIVATE RYAN (first half)
APOCALYPSE NOW
FULL METAL JACKET

and a few others

I can't watch any movie many times, because I'd soon become "desensitized" to it and stop liking it.
My motto is, "All good comes in small doses" or something to that effect. 😉

Run Lola Run, that movie just rocks 🙂
American beauty is also a nice movie to watch over and over.
The Usual Suspects is good too.

Aemis

I knew I was forgetting one: GROUNDHOG DAY I watch it ALL the time, whenerver it's on.

"Well, what if there is no tomorrow? There wasn't one today."

or

Phil Connors: What would you do if you were stuck in one place and every day was exactly the same, and nothing that you did mattered?
Ralph: That about sums it up for me.

After going through the others, it seems I could include most John Candy, Steve Martin, Bill Murray and Chevy Chase movies onto the list.
