what movie should I get?

I just got this $10 gc for buy.com...I'm thinking of spending it on a movie...probably gladiator or the patriot (haven't seen either). so what do you guys recommend? I want a movie that's really good (vague, I know), can be watched many times, no explicit sex/nudity (or parents will kill me) but violence is ok 🙂. keep in mind that I rarely ever see movies so I haven't seen most of the movies out there.

Have you thought about Frequency? It's a truly great, great movie.
 
Gladiator is the best movie I've seen since T2 (minus all the SWs flicks of course 🙂).

I'd go for it.

lol...just to reiterate, I want to buy a movie withOUT nude scenes b/c I'm going to use my mom's credit card. so my answer still goes unanswered: does gladiator have nude scenes? if yes, then I don't think my parents would approve.

btw, I don't have a DVD so I'm buying it on VHS.
 
EmperorNero - LOL sorry I wasn't paying that much attention.

I remember some making out scenes but I don't remember a girl or guy showing any of their bits and pieces on Gladiator. So the answer is NO.

You really should consider buying a DVD Player you could have had the AWESOME Toshiba SD1600 for only $109, frickin' awesome player for that price!
 
I second Russ' statement.

Gladiator was simply amazing. It does not have any visible nudity although it has traces of incest and is of course very brutal.
 
Not a clue what movie you should get, but I am asking for Gladiator, and Titan AE on DVD for Christmas, so I don't have to use my wimpy weekly paycheck for this stuff... I love parents 🙂
