My Heart beats, Lungs breath, Brain processes, and Digestive system digests. That is the ultimate meaning of Life.

think deeper

There is no deeper.

the question isn't what makes you live it's what motivates you...as in a metaphysical concept.

You may see it that way, but that's not what motivates anyone. Does a Dog or Cat have Purpose? A Flea? A Virus? Yes they do, like us, they simply Live. The difference(as far as anyone knows) between Them and Us is that we have Imagination, They do not. Our Imagination seeks higher meaning through Metaphysical constructs, but it's our physical systems who ultimately give us Life and Life is our ultimate Purpose.

I would argue that they have no motivation to live since they cannot comprehend their mortality. Once again, motivation is a human characteristic of reason....if animals do not possess such facility, they have no motivation but rather an instinctual process.

Now you're getting closer to Truth.

There's a whole lotta not living available afterward. I keep looking for new things and ideas, keep creating "stuff".

1) Family & Friends + humor
2) Passions - photography, biking
3) Goals - improving self and new experiences
4) New Technology
5) Spirituality

i would say it's those who care about me which would be my friends...being able to experience life with them and to make their lives richer is what makes life meaningful for me...it's not that i don't care about or appreciate my family, it's just that i find it hard to think of them as something to motivate me i don't particularly appreciate their approval...i'm sure there is more out there that i've yet to experience and that's probably something else that i'd find important.

I have no idea, and it bothers me almost daily, even though I'm probably not yet old enough to be able to give meaning to life.

No motivation here, but thinking of opportunities, it seems that choosing to die early leaves me with less options. I don't believe in an afterlife, so once I'm dead, that's the end. While I'm living I have a lot of choices that I can make. I can die anytime.

ATOT motivates me

well, i think it's life itself. family, gf, hopefully kids someday, a career which is basically money so that i can do well to take care of everyone else around me

Life is...interesting. No specific experiences, but whatever life has to offer, it's usually pretty interesting if you really take the time to notice. So long as life keeps me amused, I see no reason to move on to the next thing.

I'm 18 so, getting money, getting pvssy, and getting posessions are all that concern me. I'm hoping I'll be able to base my life on this for another 10-15 years or so at which point I'll go for the helping others/improving myself routine until I die.
