It's called "Hardware Prefetch"..and it does utilize the bandwith that DDR allows much better.

Actually, I was kind of disappointed in this. The mobile Palamino, the Athlon 4, runs @ 1.4v @ 1ghz and it has a feature called "Power Now!" which is actually similar to the clock throttling of the P4. It is mostly used to extend battery life in a laptop. The desktop Palamino's that are available, the Athlon MP's, actually run @ 1.75v by default. The official Palomino desktop release hopefully will run @ a lower voltage, but for now it is the same as the regular tbirds.
