Abit (hell no) both my friends have abits and they suck. Im just trying to stick with either the Dfi, Msi or Asus. Plz tell me what you recommend NEED TO KNOW ASAP PLZ!

DFI Ultra-D, just plug your stuff in an it works. Will you be getting a 24pin psu ?

Epox makes a pretty good nforce3 socket 939 board, and for nforce4, you need to specify sli or non-sli. Lots of boards available now.

That's just your scenario. Take a look around at others. There seem to be a LOT more problems with the DFI boards than with other companies such as MSI or ASUS.

If not overclocking, there is no need to get the DFI NF4 Ultra-D. Yes it is a great board, don't get me wrong, but for stock speeds, I would get the ASUS A8N-E or A8N-E Premium.

Yes i will be getting a 24 pin psu from Fortron. Regarding Waylay, doesnt the Msi perform better at stock speeds than the Asus?

They should be out pretty soon (couple of weeks). As far as stock speeds, the MSI sometimes barely beats the A8N in some benchmarks, but in real world performance, you won't notice the difference.

I bought the Asus and have to say it was one of the easiest setups I've done. Also rock stable out of the box.

I had a very painless install as well with my A8N-SLI, been running stable since last December. A lot of the problems you may see with this board stem from people using inadequate power supplies. Do yourself a favor and do not skimp on this most important part of the system.

You may have to change your name to AsusDude or something :).

DFIdude,
if you are so unsure about what motherboard to get...why do you give advise to others on their motherboard choices ?

DFI nF4 Ultra-D hands down. Quality capacitors and heatsinks on the mofsets. The bios options are fantastic. Got mine for $140 shipped from Newegg. Very impressive board and stable as a rock for me.

m :)

Please DFIDude, do not recommend a motherboard. You have not even decided what YOU are going to get, much less what others should get. ;)

ECS is well known for making quality budget mobos, esp. the ones with SiS chipsets. If you're going to run stock, and not OC, that could be the way to go for you.
