What motherboard for a new conroe build?

My friend is looking to build a conroe system very soon once there available.

He asked me to recommend a motherboard and I have no idea about intel at all.

He does not overclock and never will so this is not an issue.

Something solid and budget minded with all the features you need.

What is the budget for the board? This is what comes to my mind:

If you are talking Ultra cheap:

ASRock 775Dual-VSTA Socket T

Budget i'd say in the range of $100-$150

Looking at the boards you linked, and again I know squat about intel boards.

Is this Socket T (LGA 775) what I need to look for for a conroe core 2 duo motherboard?
What I mean is would any Socket T (LGA 775) work with the conroe?

yes the Socket T (LGA 775) is what u need.

Just a note.....not all socket 775's support Conroe. Check the manufacturer to make sure.
