And this is the reason why Anandtech forums are going DOOOOWWWWWNNN hill, no more honest questions and honest answers, no more tech help, just opinionated zealots with no room for open minds and honest answers...read again what he said....
I prefer to stay with Nvidia.....
until NVidia uses ATI Radeon cores, I see no validity in this answer. :\
and about the 4800, I read somewhere that the Ti 4800 is an overclocked 4400 with 8x agp....I just cant find th elink![]()
Thanks,
I'd like to keep it around $200.00 or so. I'll look into the 5600 or 5800...

IMHO if you want to stay with Nvidia you should wait for the FX 5600 Ultra card,at least it`ll be a DX9 card and have better AA/AF performance over the GF4 models you listed..

wait... if you like playing with AA/AF enabled, then why in hell are you getting an nVidia card?Originally posted by: ketchup79
I am considering upgrading my Ti4400 with an FX 5800 non-ultra. It should be out very soon if you can wait. It would definately be work the wait if you like playing games with FSAA and AF enabled.

I am sorry for those on you who don't like nVidia. I do and will continue to use their products, because I feel they have better drivers and better compatibilty than any other video card manufacturer. I have not seen any comments on the cooling solution for the 5800, so it is uncertain whether it will be louder or not. Right now, it really depends on who you listen to as to which card is faster. Some sites would like you to believe the 9700 is faster, and some want you to believe they are about the same. Either way, I will still go with nVidia. The Dets also have an option I really like called Digital Vibrance Control. Now that I am used to it, I don't think I could go to a card that didn't have it.
Get over it ketchup! People don't not like nVidia they just prefer ATI, specifically the price/performance that the 9700 cards offer over The GF4 Ti line (and the FX's as well).
Screw the crap driver argument, I went from 42.86 to 30.82 and they were pretty equal. "Upgrade" to 43.45, and lo and behold, really jerky performance in games. Yeah, go nVidia.
