what mobo for PIII 800B fcpga do you recommend?

One of the two above. The MSI is cheaper and has integrated audio. I have the CUSL2 and really like it. Either one will be good.

Well, he doesn't "plan" to overclock... but as soon as you get the mobo/cpu, you begin to wonder.. hmmm, where can I go with this puppy..

CUSL2 has my vote... get good ram also...

why not try Gigabyte, they always been the fastest (by a little) in other platform comparison (Via133a)

just a third opinion.

ASUS CUSL2-C. i815EP chipset. Onboard i752 video controller removed and replaced by a memory controller. Board now supports 1.5GB of RAM instead of 512MB and is significantly cheaper than the CUSL2 as well.

Andy, I'm interested in that -C model, but can't find any info on it. Anyone selling it? I can't find any onfo on ASUS's web site either.

Thanks!!

Although it's not listed on the ASUS site, it is available for sale in Hong Kong, and in Australia. It's HK$250 and AU$50 cheaper than the CUSL2 respectively.

Only HK$250 for a mobo? Thats outrageous, are you sure your prices are correct? Convert that to USDs its only like $35!!

I really like the i815e after I ironed out the memory issue. I'd go with decent memory and DON'T use Kingmax memory with this board. Since I've changed memory I have to say that this is the best board that I've owned for overclocking and stability.

LXi: I said it was that much cheaper than the CUSL2.....the difference in price, not the actual price.
