im getting a new alienware laptop. The 51m 7700 for a desktop replacement i can take places.

It offers 2 video cards.

ATI X800 mobile 256mb DDR3
Or
Nvidia Geforce 6800 Go 256mb DDR3

Ill be playing games like sims 2, battlefield 2. (mostly 1st person shooters and stuff that require good graphics.

Which one should i get?
 
Firstly, you're overpaying by getting Alienware. 😉

My vote goes to the 6800, but clock speeds are important. I'm not sure which speeds those parts are.

Being as this smacks of ATI vs nVidia, there will be another fifty thousand opinions shortly. 😀

I would also vote 6800 Go, as IIRC, nVidia owns this generation's mobile market. Anandtech did an article on this not so long ago I think.
