I have heard that the M 2400+ is the best. Is that true?

Also does Newegg have a good batch or is there a better place to go?

I have a Abit NF7-S 2.0, SLK800 w/ smart fan 2, 512x2 buffalo pc 3200.

How far should I be able to OC the best mobile chip?

I currently have a 2500+ @3200+. It wont go any higher. If I can get a M2400+, M2500+, M2600+ or what ever at 2.5ghz that would be great.

Thanks!

Check out the OC Database for M2400+ and M2500+ results.

From what I've seen, the M2400/2500/2600 all seem to be able to overclock about the same. Theoretically, the 2600+ should be your best bet, as it has the highest multiplier and runs at the same voltage as the other chips.

I am trying to decide between getting a M2500 or a M2600+.

All reviews are good from newegg, the 2400+ and 2500+ are about the same in default clock speed so their OC performance shouldn't be much different. As Blue Weasel said, your best bet should be the 2600+ but then you're payring extra for possibly less OC headroom. It's all up to you. Yes a cheaper chip might be more of a gamble, it's all up to you in the end. IMHO an extra $20-30 for a 2500-2600 isn't worth any extra headroom they might give you because even with those chips it is still a gamble as to if they can overclock to 2.4GHz+, OCing isn't a given, it's just that with these chips you have better odds.
