I couldn't get into DDO, the controls annoy me way too much.

I recently quit WoW and am taking an MMO break... if I were to play anything right now, it would probably be LotRO. I'll probably also check out FF14 and KotOR-O when they come out.

DDO's keyboard controls are highly customizable, if that's what you're referring to. Just saying.

However, if you don't like FPS games, then I can definitely see how you wouldn't like DDO's mouse/keyboard control scheme. Although once I did group up with a player who only used a keyboard.

Why does it look good? I've never really like Guild Wars ... my little brother loves it though.

Well if you didn't like the first I'm not sure you would be into the 2nd one, but GW2 is going to be a full fledged MMO. It's going to have a persistent world instead of group instances, and they are going to multiple playable races instead of just humans. The skill system is going to be somewhat similar to the first game which is one thing that appeals to me. Also they're planning on having minimal grind in the game which is something I really liked about the first game.

Basically it's expanding and improving on what they had with the first game, so it may appeal to people who were disappointed that GW was a online rpg instead of a MMO, but a lot of what made the first game great is still going to be there I think.

that's pretty much it right there.

I played the free trial way back when and it felt too much like maneuvering through a FPS game to me.

I'd hold out for FF14. I'm not playing an MMO right now, but FF14 would be at the very top of my list if I were.

Sperglord of Eve, representin'.

Actually I haven't "played" eve in several months, been sucked into LoL instead. But I still log in every so often to swap skills and to cook up a quick few hundred mil ISK to keep the accounts funded. That counts.

Lord of the Rings Online. The environments are still beautiful and you can solo pretty much every quest (and epic quest) or group, or you can play as a monster (warg, orc, spider, etc.) and kill people in PvP.

Other than that, the community is better than the pre-teens in WoW and the Sperglords in Eve.

Agreed...LOTRO blows WOW out of the water IMO. Helpful, mature community, beautiful landscapes/graphics, and a much better storyline. You also have more options to customize your character...player housing, various personalized outfits, trophies from killing bosses you can display in your house........I'd never go back to WOW after playing LOTRO.

I was playing Age of Conan till last month...I only reached level 31 but had a lot of fun in there. Probably gonna get another month or 2 soon.

Yesterday I downloaded and installed Dungeons & Dragons Online with the High res textures. Playing it in DirectX 10 with everything on higer settings and it looks quite good, i'm a little impressed.

Looks quite simple too...and in simple i'm afraid it's gonna get boring quickly. But i'm gonna give it a try and since it's free, there's no rush at all!

Still playing

Rising Force Online on the equilibrium server. Great game full of pvp. 3 times a day we have a massive 3 race all out war. 800+ players in one map fighting each other. Thats what pvp is about hehe. No save zones except hq map. Other then that its a gear/class/skill/pvp depended game.

Most recently, I've played WoW, but it conflicted with my addictive personality and new baby, so I quit. I played Runes of Magic for a bit, and it seemed ok if you wanted a taste of the WoW experience, for no cost.

Played DnD Online for a bit, but not long enough to make a good judgement.

WoW was incredibly fun to me. I wish I had the time to play more. I didn't nothing but Battlegrounds and level mostly solo and had a blast. I was missing out on the lion's share of the game, but that was more than enough for me.

None.

When a MMO comes out that doesn't take hundreds of hours of grinding just so you can have enough gear to fight the same monsters and explore the same dungeons as the majority of the other players, I'll bite. I don't mind having to level up to experience new content or fight the hardest bosses, but I DON'T want to raid for hours on multiple nights a week just because we "need to" gear up so we can down the latest bosses.

Currently playing Fallen earth. Capped out in WoW, and just don't see the need to raid for gear. AoC was fun, but I too hated getting scrubbed by someone 10 levels higher in PVP. Got to a point in AoC and Champions where I couldn't find enough quests for my level and grinding for XP seemed extreemly slow.

I like the way fallen earth lets you have a crafter (alt) and get xp for it, but I think that the crafting/scavenging only advancement is to slow without some pve. I have yet to see any crafting system that can support a real e-economy with mats costing less than the price of the product. I heard that Starwars first MMO had it better but never got to play it before it was nerfed.

I liked the virtual team approach in Star Trek online but felt the content was somehow lacking.

Vanguard had an excellent crafting system (imo). Sadly the game itself had so many issues it got overlooked.

All my fiends quit playing MMOs and I tried playing with strangers but it's not the same. I've given up MMOs for the time being.

Well I play wizard 101 and it is carebare to the max but I enjoy it. It is totally different and a free demo for about 10 levels. What I like the best about this MMO is the combat is based on cards. There is luck involved because getting the wrong cards at times will screw you but that makes the game more interesting.

I played WoW since early bata but quite 2 years this June. I wanted a MMO that was not a grind fest and wizard 101 fits the bill. I happen to see an ad for it on facebook and tried it.

Very innovative gathering system as well, it probably the main reason i played the game for so long at release., that and being able to move while casting was nice as well. I'm gonna give the new AoC expansion a try whenever the patchers are back up, any idea how large the expansion is to dl?

Welp nobody said you had to be stuck in 0.0 in a drake...of all ships. Not really one I would suggest for ratting in 0.0. Can be done, just takes for bloody ever. For a lower SP player I would suggest doing some mission grinding till you're at the point where you can take out 0.0 rats quicker skillwise.

Personally I'm enjoying the 0.0 life but then again I have characters at 58 mil SP, 23 mil SP and 8.8 mil SP and I'm also a part of IT and enjoying the invasion of the North.

/me waves to any NC members. Hello from H-W :)

We in the North are enjoying this very much as well. Frankly speaking, running plexes and anomalies in order to keep our military indexes up gets boring and we much rather salvage your wrecks and loot your modules. ;)

Our Battle Cry !

Bring maor Titans plz.

Gotta laugh at the Atlas guy who lost a Titan in the rape cage'd pos in H-W.

90 billion ISK went...whooosh. To bad none of the officer stuff dropped. :)

Oh and you got love PL taking CSAA's in Delve. :p

When I am not playing EVE......EQ2 3 boxing FTW !! Just got back into it and loving it a lot, especially the AA system and the refer a friend system. :D

I'm not touching anything with any fairy-ass elves in it for the rest of my life. Enough is enough, and hopefully this f____try will purge itself out of existence soon.

I miss Eve, but no time to play these days. We need a Fallout MMO, with FO2 humor/writing talent, a pre-CU SWG crafting system, and near FO3 graphics. I would shit bricks.

How are you liking Fallen Earth? I sort-of wanted to check it out.

I think the SW: Galaxies crafting system was awesome, as you could literally make a name for yourself as a crafter and people would travel to buy up your stuff as soon as you put it in the shop. All it took was diligence in scouting out materials, but that was an entire meta-game in itself. Also, the housing system in SWG was pretty sweet, so it set the ground for a real crafting class. Oh, how I miss Goontown...

Fallen Earth is on to something...but its not there yet..and unless some larger company buys it out and dumps some money into it, will never be "there".

Ask sunny D though, he's in love with it.
