Might jump back into Age of Conan now that the new expansion released..
You know, I've heard a lot of good stuff about it lately

Was thinking about giving it another shot. The melee combat in the game was awesome, I absolutely loved the combat system.

I loved the combat system as well, when is the new expansion out?

Ya I played AOC beta to launch and while the gameplay was awesome the open pvp was what killed it for me. I guess I should have rolled a PVE server but they were ghost towns. I love PVE for the most part. I cant see the fun in being killed by a guy 20 levels higher than me that stands over me and hollers nooB!

Does the upcoming Final Fantasy online MMO look promising? I haven't played any MMORPG's since DAOC.

Tuesday, 5/11 for new Rise of the Godslayer expansion for AoC.

Just did a circuit of MMOs, spending initial month's worth of playing in a bunch. Found AoC to be the most interesting. Great art, interesting stories, fairly stable. Was on a PvE server, as open PVP brings out too many of the A*holes for whom ruining your day is their top priority. Lots of returnees around, though I had never played AoC in the past.

Vanguard was second on the list, filled with places to explore, and now fairly stable. The community is small however. I found it interesting that after a year or two, the 'disaster launch' duo seemed to play well and be pretty enjoyable.

City of Heroes was my mainstay, but after 5 years of it, I needed a break. Will be heading back there after the 'Going Rogue' expansion hits though.

last one i played a lot was lotro. still pick it up from time to time but haven't played much since the new expansion came out (i know, i'm doing it backwards, even purchased the expansion day 0). most gaming lately has been empire total war (not buggy anymore yay!) or dragon age.

WoW. This will be my last MMO. When it finally dies I will finally quit playing MMOs for good. Granted I rarely play it now anyway but I do still fire it up once or twice a week.

Currently playing AoC and was playing LotRO up until last week. I haven't decided if I am going to get Rise of the Godslayer yet, but I am leaning towards it depending on whether or not my brothers and friends get it.

Final Fantasy 14 will be epic. Square knows how to make a good mmo. They are going with some of the art direction that they haven developed so well from 11 so why ruin a good thing. When it comes to content few developers do it as well as square. Try running out of things to do in FF11...I dare you....

They are making 14 a little more solo friendly but dont expect to be able to solo the entire game. If I didnt have 5 month old triplets I would play but devoting the time is not an option. What you have to decide is do you want an easy game like WOW, Champions, STO, and the like or do you want a grindfest torture device that gets you to eschew sleep and life?

What are the best servers to play in now?

EDIT: And is it simple to get the full account and is it worth it?

I am back to playing WoW. But this time grinding heroic instances. I am surprised how fun it is.

This is what I am waiting for .. I quit WoW late '09, and have not even wanted to go back....very burnt out.

I'll probably hit up FF14, and DIII, SCII, etc. I am also waiting for torchlight : MMO, but who knows when that will be.

I wish it was my job to play games, and to keep up to date on all that, but it's not ... so I only want to play a select few games I think will be good....no where near as much free time as I once had.

Cannot wait for GW2.

Same here. Guild Wars was my first and only MMO (1,200+ hours invested) and I won't get another before I try out GW2 to see if it holds up well. For starters, I would only consider a free MMO after you pay once for the game. Yes, expansions cost money, but I only buy them if I enjoy the main game enough. I like being able to take months off from playing without any financial issues to consider.

GW2 will have the same business model as the first, and the combat is said to be a lot more visceral. So far, so good.

I'm also waiting on Final Fantasy 14.

I was waiting on Mortal Online but read a few reviews and got soured on it. Not to mention that because it offers full frontal nudity the game would be full of sexually frustrated guys playing girls and running around naked.

The only reason I play none right now is my time is too short so all I can do is solo or craft, and no game has a good experience in either. If there was one where playing 30-45 minutes at a time was worthwhile I'd be playing there. In most games that's not even long enough to get a group with which to instance!

I tried Guild Wars, but I could never get into it .. same for LoTRO.

I do not care about paying monthly for an MMO, 15-20 a month is very cheap for how much entertainment you get out of it.

Another one for GW2, I am playing WoW right now but I am basically waiting for GW2. I fired up the first GW over the weekend and did some random arenas, and the game still seems pretty active actually. I was thinking about picking up the eye of the north expansion just to have something to play around with and to catch up with the story.

this forever, looks so bad ass

Also, Champions was very fun for a while...

I wonder if they fixed PVP yet? It was super fun and awesome, but there was serious balance problems, and it was damn near impossible to kill anyone with teleport

Why does it look good? I've never really like Guild Wars ... my little brother loves it though.

I couldn't get into DDO, the controls annoy me way too much.

I recently quit WoW and am taking an MMO break... if I were to play anything right now, it would probably be LotRO. I'll probably also check out FF14 and KotOR-O when they come out.
