So far I'd have to say:

Cards
Brewers
Braves
Tigers
Orioles

Later in the season I'd say:

Red Sox
Yankees
Cards
Orioles

Red Sox and the Yankees haven't been very good offensively yet but I think as the season continues they will get more runs ;)

obviously the power is in the AL this season.

in the NL however, i'd have to give the braves a definite top 3 ranking.

CARDS BABY!! I can't be the only one who just loves Pujols' stance. He just cocks his whole body back like he's ready to destroy the ball. Gotta love that guy.

Unfortunately, our picthing is once again substandard and we'll get rid of LaRussa (an incredible coach that anyone would be lucky to have) soon enough and screw everything up.

so far the indians have thebest starting pitching in the league. but the blowpen is horrible.

last i knew, it was a 1.69 era for starters, and something like 7 for blowpen.

gotta add the cubs ....

great power on the corners ... and a solid solid outfield. A-Gon will hit you 20 at SS so the only realy weaknesses are catcher and 2b

Yanks by far.

Did you guys see the rookie Bubba Trammel? With everybody talking about either Bernie or Lofton in centerfield, I think Trammel will end up winning the job. He played in only 2 games so far but has already hit two huge hommers and made some amazing plays in the outfield. He also got a lot of speed on the bases. Now he may not continue hitting homers, but he's definitely a great CF defensively.

with georges track record, the yankees will trade trammel away for a superstar and then when he blossoms somewhere else, george will sign him as a free agent.

Where did Yanks get Trammel from? I know it was either Brown-Weaver or Boone-Claussen trades. Either way, the team that gave him up must be byting their nails right now. Talking traded rookies, I wonder how Claussen is doing for the Reds. Even if he grows up to be the next Clemens - Game 7 of ALCS alone justifies that trade :)

Yeah, Crosby. There actually is a player named Bubba Trammel, who I think was on the yanks last year. That's what confused me.

Did you see the series this weekend where the White Sox held them to under 5 runs a game? The scores were 1-3, 9-3, 7-3, 4-5 (Sox\Yankees) for each of the four games. The Yankees can be explosive, but IMO, they're not the best offense in the game today.

They got Bubba Crosby from the Dodgers in the Ventura trade. He may be a rookie, but he's actually 27 years old. Chances of him being something great aren't that good.

You can't judge a team by 3 games. If we're gonna judge by the past week then Detroit has the best team. We all know that's not the case. It should be obvious to everybody (except to blind yankee haters) that yanks have the best lineup in the majors. Just compare position by position...

Exactly.
Baseball is 162 games long, it's a LONG season. It's not football where you can see a trend after just one game, it's baseball and everything averages out. The Yankees have the best hitting team in baseball on paper.
