Nice thread...I've thought about this often - even wrote a bad poem about it once 😱 I would tell myself not to be intimidated by cynical adults and never fear authority because, absolutes are rare. I would tell myself that I am a far better kid than everyone presumed I was - which I now know for a fact because I proved them ALL wrong. Yeah, I lacked quite a bit of self-esteem as a kid, I guess
