What memory to get for overclocking....

I was originally thinking gskill extreme.

Is there anything else better or should i just go skill now!

Thats like the biggest POS memory in the world. DFI boards hate VS. Get some real memory. OCZ.

If you want uber high clocks, you can try VX although I believe those are out of pr oduction...

Mine hit 265 2-2-2-5 @ 3.5 volts.. thats what DDR533 almost?

Or you could get the insane TCCD sticks Geil One I believe? They hit DDR600. Or OCZ has PC-4800 DDR600 sticks that are probably the same.

If you want good 2GB sticks, you can get the OCZ EL PC-4000 Platinum. Anand got them to like 267 @ 2.5-3-2-8, and I believe he hit around 270...

for 2GB kits, definitely go for PC4000, either ocz el, ocz eb or g.skill 3-3-2-8.

for 1GB kits, geil one or even the geil pc4000 ultra platinum 2.5-4-4-7 hynix.

you will have to up the vdimm on geil and ocz. you may be able to get good oc with the g.skill on stock volts.

ocz pc4000 eb, i just got them for 200 with a 40 dollar rebate, but i see them goign around still for a bit under 200 . best 2gb (2x1gb) memory you can buy

Corsair VS is not a POS. It is just not made to OC. If its run at stock, then it is a good deal. But, as the OP wants to OC then that mem is definately NOT for him.
