What memory should I get?

Hi guys, just wondering....

knowing that I want to overclock my 3700+ San Diego on an DFI Ultra-D board, what memory would you recommend the most. I known that OCZ makes c DFI special PC-5000 memory, so I might go with it, but what about the other. What RAM perferm the best with my settings.

OCZ has great ram that works with the A64..

The Platinum series is good.. You can get some VX ram ( extreme voltage ) because your DFI can push 3.0+ volts through it for some REALLY nice speeds..

G.Skill and Patriot are worth a look as well..

I like Mushkin, Kingston and Samsung depending upon what I'm using it for. If your going to OC on a DFI board I think the best route would be Mushkin Redline or OCZ VX stuff.

ocz has a pc5000 ram made just for that board, but i havent seen any reviews. i dont know if its better than the pc4000 gold vx

I'm planning on going with the Corsair twinx10244400c25pt. It's guaranteed to run at 550 and is TCCD.

I thought about the OCZ Gold VX or Mushkin Redline but it appears that some folks have issues with the DFI-NF4 boards running at high voltages killing the board and ram.

And there is a review for the QCZ PC5000 EL (DFI nF4 Special RAM)

the VX sticks will not have as high of a memory speed but it will be able to retain 2-2-2 timings which is important for Athlon64 systems (look at the memory matrix thread)

Patriot +XBLK is also TCCD

go with brainpower+Smasung TCCD...
choose the cheaper......its all the same...
250mhz with 2.5 and 270 with 3cl...
the brand itself doesnt matter
just if is the DFI...there is OCZ

i think the problem with the mushkin redline, is that it REQUIRES active cooling at high voltage. the VX gold does not.
