What memory for a $1200 Epox EP-8KDA3J (NF3 250GB), Newcastle 3200+ based system?

The total budget for the system is $1200 with out the keyboard, monitor and mouse. The system will be based on the Epox EP-8KDA3J (NF3 250GB) and AMD64 Newcastle 3200+. I have never OC'ed before, but would like to try it. I probably will OC mildly in the end because I am not planning to add additional cooling equipment. Thanks very much.

How much and how many sticks of RAM do you plan to put on? It seems like most board has a problem with using 3 slots with double sided RAM which all of the 512MB sticks or above have, eventhough they have 3 slots.

Get two 512MB sticks of value PC3200 from whatever brand you like best (Crucial, Corsair, Kingston, Mushkin, OCZ). The low latency/high bandwidth stuff is pretty pointless, as the differences outside of Sandra's memory benchmark are miniscule (1-2% if you're lucky), and they cost no less than twice as much.

I have the 8kda3j with a 3200+ Clawhammer and 1 gig of Kingston value ram (2 x 512). Board specs say that if you use 3 dimms, you need to use single sided ram - which is kind of limitiing. I like the board very much; easy to set up and lots of features in the bios, but I'm not into overclocking that much.
Here is a good link to get info on overclocking the 8kda3j and the 8kda3+:
