what memory does a pentium 133 need?

Can anyone reply briefly with the type of memory that a pentium 133mhz processor would need? A friend is trying to buy a memory upgrade, and I'm not sure where to find information for outdated processors like this...

thanks in advance!

Yup, Elledan is right. It is generally EDO RAM for any Pentium that isn't on a "newer" Super 7 board. Some of the older boards only have SIMMs, while others have SIMMs and DIMMs, but the DIMMs only hold EDO RAM also, no PC66 or PC100 yet for those boards. Really depends on your mobo more than your processor.

Some boards had both kinds of memory slots.
My old Shuttle 569 can take EDO simms or SDRAMS (either/or not both
at the same time).
I've currently got 2 32 megs of EDO in there. But I have tried
one stick of 64 megs PC100 and it worked fine.......

I have used a petium 133 that used SDRAM, but it was some special "2-clock" variety. Crucial sells it, but last time I looked it was much more expensive than regular pc66 SDRAM.

Generally, older boards used FPM or EDO SIMM's. Newer "super socket 7" boards generally use standard PC66 or PC100 (for K6-2's) SDRAM. Finding a need for EDO DIMM's is pretty rare, they were mostly used for PPro's.
