What MB to upgrade to?

Ok, I currently have an Abit VA6 and want to upgrade it due to problems I *think* are associated with the chipset. I want something bomb-proof and stable. I currently have a celery 433 on it (which will be the next thing to be replaced) on a slocket converter. What MB would be a good evolution so I can change MB (keeping chip for a month or so) and then jump to a pretty fast P3? Thanks!
