Oh, lord, that was the very first thing ever that made me realize I was getting older -- the grim fact that HS girls were really too young for me . . . SOB. :brokenheart:

Man, there's some serious lurker-representation in this thread.

For me, I'm still fairly young, but I feel old when I meet or hear about someone far younger than me who's accomplished a lot more than I have.

Skiing over bumps bigger than I am while a 60-year-old lady flies straight off them, passing me at about 50mph, WITH BETTER SKIS than mine.

And then college girls can't be far behind!

It's when the college girl's moms are too young for you... Now that's old!

Yet they look SO much better and edible than they did when I was in high school 40 years ago...

There are so many things that make me feel old...

The gray hair and beard

Grandchildren

Getting up in the morning

Seeing movie stars and rock & roll musicians who are 65-70+...or they die of old age...yet they were kid stars when I was a kid...or the rockstars in my youth

Realizing that my "teenage years" were 4 decades ago

Everyday at college I get reminded of just how fucking old I really am...by all those sweet tiny college girls...(who, unlike MOST high school girls, are of legal age...just too young for me) 🙁 (hell, too young? They'd fucking kill me...but what a way to go!) 😀

And this.

Why is it that I can now grow hair out on my ears, bit does not want to grow on my head?

37 and seeing college girls and wondering if they'll think I'm a dirty old man on approach. (well , I am but that's besides the point)

Hitting the track each day. Murder gets harder every year.

When I started to think kids are assholes for spinning wheels from a light and I did the same.

That's a nice pic of you Dave. Going out to check the mail? 😛

Yup. And, thanks to that sign, I'm sure I'll even get there some day soon! 😛

When a lot of the junk mail you receive is from AARP, etc.
The shock, and dismay our young daughter displayed when she played for us a *new* song that described her feelings on how we restricted her dating. It was some techno, rap song called, "I think we're alone now", I then told her that this was nothing new, and that her mom, and I felt the same way at one time. I then found, and played for her the original song on a 45 turntable.
Our daughter now has teenagers of her own, Oh, the irony.

When I drive by parks I use to play in as a kid, to see that all the fun metal slides and very high structures are all gone and there's this small 3 foot high plastic slide that has "Safety" written all over it. It's sad really. I actually miss those old style parks, oh the fun I had with friends back in the day... when nobody sued over getting hurt - heck, the stuff we used to do could of been lethal, but we knew better to be careful. Today's kids would just walk off a ledge like a lemming then the parents would sue the city because their dumb kid thought he was superman and would not get hurt falling off that. This one particular park we played a blind folded version of tag in was a huge wood/metal "castle" some of it was a good 1 story high at least (which is very high for a little kid). Oh the fun we had, and nobody ever got hurt either.
