I'm okay with shoulder length hair as it doesn't have to be extremely long. When a girl starts having hair shorter than mine, I start to worry. Say no to butch cuts. :D;)

I agree, I think short hair on a girl doesn't look as good as long (no offense, short-haired women). Take the Felicity case for example. Why do women want a man's haircut?

Long hair >>>>>>>>>>>> bald > short hair

At least cancer patients can't help the lack of plumage.

Please, please don't cut your hair, ladies. :(

The hair cutting process dates back to the beginning of primates when the slutty fiance/girlfriend monkey transitions to the cheating wife monkey.

The only difference now is that there isn't remorse or guilt.

Well then, now we have something to blame for this atrocity. ;)

m'be women just chop their hair as they get older, nothing to do with marriage

Social convention says that women over a certain age are expected to cut their hair and adopt a matronly appearance, long hair is associated with beauty and sexual attractiveness, both considered areas belonging solely to young women.

True, though I think there's also the aspect of a woman who's married (with kids?) choosing convenience over the need to maintain a sexually attractive appearance. At the opposite end of the spectrum are women who get divorced or who, after the breakup of a long-term relationship, suddenly lose a significant amount of weight and pay a lot more attention to their appearance.

Exactly. They've won you, you're their prize, they no longer have to work on impressing you or anyone else, really.

It's sad how this is acceptable as I think it's important to look good for your spouse at all times. No wonder so many couples cheat on one another. I would want to tell my wife that she looks beautiful after marriage and really mean it rather than lying through my teeth to a tub of goo.

Mainly the first part though.

men arent the only ones to get fat after marriage
whats the old joke?
"how do you make a woman gain 30lbs?"
"give her a wedding ring"

I think that is probably the reason, long hair is just hard to take care of.

once you have kids you'll understand. when children get to about 4 months old they start to be able to grab and pull objects with their hands. when you are holding an infant in your arms they can easily grab hair and pull it and you can't just yank the hair out of their hands because that can injure them.

after a couple of times, you'd rather not have hair that easily pullable.

Regardless of marital status I hate when women go and cut their long, pretty hair off. Ugh. I have known of so many females that have gone and done that and they never look as attractive with shorter hair in my opinion. Yeah, it's a matter of taste and I prefer longer hair.

Maybe they want to. Oh! Heaven forbid a woman does something that goes against what all you wankers want...

I see this ALL the time as well, and here's my theory:

They cut their hair after marriage because they already suckered the guy into giving them 1/2 of what he owns, so she has absolutely no reason to remain the same person that she was before marriage. I really don't understand why they do it. No wonder the divorce rate is so high and infidelity is rampant. If the chick stayed the same hot piece of a$$ that she was during the dating period, keeping the long, flowing hair, the husband wouldn't have any reason to go out and look for someone that he actually is attracted to now. You marry someone in part based on looks and attraction. When that other person alters that look, why are they so shocked when their mate doesn't have that attraction anymore? If I'm dating someone with long hair, that's obviously part of the reason why I'm dating you. Don't marry me then all of a sudden chop it off. If I wanted to marry someone with short hair, I would've started out DATING someone with short hair.
