What makes this computer so expensive?

3 reasons.
1. 6800 Go Ultra
2. 17" LCD
3. Because some kid can get his parents to pay that much for it.
 
Well...

It's got more video performance that just about anything else out there.
PCI-E
DVI out
RAID capability which is pretty rare for a laptop
Customized looks & low production numbers probably make up for a lot of the expense as well
 
it comes with a 6800 go Ultra. that's gota boost the price. but yea, 2600 for that and the CPU... meh, get an alienware or that chunky dell XPS laptop

Who the hell is WidowPC? That laptop looks like a clunker. I got a XPS M170 with the same video card for $1k less, and it doesn't look like ass.

Is WidowPC a subsidiary of Michael's Computers, because the Sting 917 looks a lot like the MX5 😀

BTW, Michael's Computer is the Highest "Google Ranked" Computer Company. Buy, buy, buy!

It is overpriced, but the cost comes from a fully upgradeable chassis, dual hard drives, basically a desktop in a foldable case

EDIT Definitely a rebadged sager. I've got the new Sager w/Go 7800GTX sitting in the labs and it looks JUST like that one, except for color
