what makes a post a newbie post or a non-newbie post

well 4.5k posts under my belt, and newbie's get more respect than me, so it ain't about respect, though they're less likely to hunt me down and start a nef tossing contest.
 
well, it depends, a newbie to the forums could know a lot on the subject, or not. I know I've researched all over the net before I started exploring forums. My point is that there is a difference in who asks and answers questions.

No, BS (appropriate initials), there IS a such thing as wasted, useless threads. I think you're at the wrong end of the advice on this subject.
