What Mail Client?

i have switched 95% of my web browsing over to mozilla and want to use a different mail client that is similiar to outlook express with its ability to have different users and its ease of backup and recovery when i move to a different computer. what would you recommend?
 
thunderbird definately allows different "identities" like oe? also, is it pretty easy to migrate to thunderbird from oe? does it work with the files that oe can seperate and then re-assemble? like 1 5MB file broken into 1MB chunks.
 
Though I haven't used Thunderbird I would be surprised if it didn't have an "import" function that would pull all your current OE settings without having to do a lot of screwing around.

it pulled my main identity, but not the others. guess i will just add those in, no biggie.
 
thanks all, thunderbird working great 🙂 the only thing is that split file option, but m$ probably uses some proprietary setup in that....
