, we knew of each other, but never really talked. at first i actually thought he was obnoxious and annoying(he was my step brothers best friend). But, after he graduated, something happened... its funny because he is the exact opposite of me. But i guess that is good in a way. we are both different and we meet in the wonderful middle. He brings so many things to the relationship that i never knew oor expereinced and i bring things that were new to him as well.
we choose each other because we compliment each other and learn from each other. I cannot stay mad at him, and he makes me feel safe. He is so charming (andthesexisawesome) I realized how lucky i am that he choose me! :wine::heart:

My inherent masochism?
I was totally operating on the relationship schema I learned from my parents... gentle, patient (but a wee bit flaky) woman marries angry, wounded (but creatively brilliant) man. Man protects woman, woman soothes man's soul.
Of course, at the time I just thought it was his nice butt. Then I realized this has been the story with ALL my relationships, and is something I just DO regardless of who the man is.
Only a brain transplant can save me...

Not solely looks, but that was definitely what sparked the initial attraction. Her sense of humor, intelligence and independence also got my attention right away. She is also much more creative than I realized when we'd first met.
We have few shared interests, but that doesn't seem to matter.
We both are unhappy with our careers, and both are taking steps to change them. Neither one of us have the same occupation we did when we met. (In fact, I was unemployed and she...um...worked for tips
).I don't ever remember "deciding" to be with her. It just happened. Eventually I realized that I could never be without her.
BTW we just celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary. We met 6 years ago this month.

I saw her I felt for her. Everything about her was great. Had some great chemistry, we'd chat, listen and talk about random things. She isn't as sporty as me but was willing to go with what I took her to, rock climbing, gymnastics, sparring and she was already a big fan of Tennis (great summer game). She was smart and is funny.
We get on great and we fancy each other.
I'd also knew that I'd make her mine after meeting her a few times. A year of seeing each other and getting to know each other we are going out. That was 9 months ago.

Hey when the better one comes along I can always trade in
I can't really name one thing in particular because it wasn't just one thing. There were a whole lot of things I was looking for and she has them! After being friends for a good while, things just kinda clicked and viola! Next thing I knew we were working on moving in together. What else can I say?
