I've eaten at 2 of the best restaurants in the world and they were definitely both worth it. I'll never forget the meals and the entire experience of going to both of them. If I had the money, that is what I would spend my time doing, going around the world, trying all kinds of great and interesting restaurants.

Curious; what two restaurants were they? How do you rank best in the world? Easy to rank best in a given city, or even state, but harder to do by country and I can't imagine world...

"luxury" is quite subjective, don't you think? what you might consider a luxury, i might consider outlandish or wasteful.
getting drunk on cheap beer after 18 holes of golf with my friends. that's luxury to me.

health, security, a home, family, friends..... all of the little luxuries we take for granted > *
i see. i guess i've never really splurged on anything that can be defined as a luxury. pretty soon, i'll have some debt paid off and some other things paid off, and i'll have enough money to upgrade my PC and maybe get an XBox 360 or PS3. mortgage, bills, car payments, all that stuff gets in the way 😛 when i retire, i hope to travel and golf a lot!Originally posted by: AreaCode707

It's why I said, "as defined by the western world". I'm just curious about the crazy-stupid stuff. 🙂

That's not a luxury so much as a form of torture.
i was drunk the whole time, so it was tolerable.
Ok... that might work then.

Everybody posting here lives luxuriously compared to conditions most people in the world experience.
I woke up this morning in a clean, pleasant warm house located in a safe area. I don't fear being gunned down or taken prisoner unlawfully. I have hot and cold running water that's safe to drink and bath in. I have adequately large, safe storage areas for food and the means to cook it.If I become seriously ill I will be transported to the hospital within minutes and once there I will be treated regardless of my ability to pay.My children will learn to read, write and obtain a basic education regardless of my fiscal resources. I can choose to further my own prospects by attending one of several community colleges or state universities at an afforable cost. I can also chose to live anywhere I like and take up any field of study or compete for any job that interests me.
I'd say I live a life of massive luxury on a daily basis.
You drive a Prius don't you

Monkfish or proper shark?
I've had blue shark. Caught it on a fishing trip off the coast of NorCal, had it stir fried with cajun spices. Was pretty good.

Where the heck did you catch a blue shark in Norcal waters. The friggin waters are too cold for anything except the smaller 7 or 6 gills, leopards and the occasional great whites. I think you can catch a mako but haven't heard or seen anyone actually catch one.
