Hi guys,

I recently bought a cooler master prestige 240L, and am wondering what liquid to use for filling up the reservoir.

Will tap water work just fine?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

NO tap water.

Best bet is getting distilled water which is about $1 for a gallon. A lot of people use distilled water and a silver coil. The silver coil will keep the water from growing bacteria and turning green, etc. You can order a silver coil online and add it once you get it.

Its an AIO, it should not need filling out from the box. It would defeat its purpose of being one if it didn't come pre-filled. Whatever the reason may be that you need to fill it, some PT Nuke(or similar) + distilled water should do.

have u seen the product?

because if you have, you realize u can get the pump / drive solo.

which means no radiator... which means u need to fill it up after u get a radiator.

Unless my Google-fu is screwed up, all reviews(1, 2) that I could find and this Newegg video points to the fact that it comes in one piece and pre-filled out of the box. The manual itself doesn't mention about it requiring any filling from the start.

I understand that it is detachable/expandable/refillable but why does OP wants to fill it (assuming that its brand new)?

I use the EK liquid since it already has everything. Before I would use distilled water with a splash of anti freeze

yeah i thought so too, until i went on the youtube reviews.

And in it, the guy said you can get the package without a radiator.
And also says requires to be filled. (im thinking maybe the OP saw the same youtube review)

So i was also kinda lost... becuase i never seen an AIO which you could buy without the radiator..

What we really need to know is if Coolermaster is cheaping out with aluminium parts and hence he needs a liquid to stop the erosion or not.
