Poems such as that are doomed to clicheism and so you have to go a step further and make something truely unique that stands out if you want it to be interpreted as something other than the Clicheish "crush" or sadness" state of melancholy etc.

yeah, having to write unique poems with so much stuff out there sucks.

Do you have any example of what you consider the good stuff? Ive always thought that the poems that were to abstract were crap to me. Kind of the way i see some art. (where people pay 2 million dollars for it)

I'm not quite good with poems, but I'll take a shot.... It appears you lost a friend, or someone significant in your life. It may be a literal loss; or the relationship was severed.
