California dealer's frame and I just moved to Washington. If they're getting free publicity, they're not getting much out of it.
As a native NW'er, I would advise you to get rid of that as quick as you can.

I always take off the dealer frames on principle.

Same here. ANd i always take off the sticker/plate with the dealer name on it.

After negotiating a final price, I tell the dealer he can leave his sticker on the car for $300 a year, or take it off.

None have left it on.

The sticker/plate thing is rare here in the west, but I would make the dealer get rid of it before delivery, or make them order a clean car. That practice is just bullsh!t.

Steel frame with high gloss black enamel paint front and back. My car isn't a dealership billboard.

I see them all the time in Arizona.

haha, OK you got me. I was overgeneralizing. I should have said the Northwest. But I don't remember seeing them down in Northern California either, so I said "west".

I guess the people that leave their dealer frames on isn't the same demographic that visits Anandtech. 🙂

Dealer advertisement.

I bought the car used almost 6 years ago and never bothered to take the frame off. The plate rattles a bit without the frame.

I'm not crazy about advertising on my stuff. I don't like labels/logos on my clothes (even T-Shirts) and I would never advertise for a car dealer. Isn't it enough that I paid them a few grand?

New York Mets on the back

saved me from parking tickets too, because the New York covers up ~50% of the word Maryland on my plates...so cops keep writing that its New York plates not Maryland plates

The Volvo has the original 20 year old San Diego Volvo frame. The truck *had* a Tasmanian Devil frame my wife insisted on, but mysteriously disappeared when she was out of town (wink wink). My old LTD had a frame I made that said "There's more to life... Than gas mileage." 😛

I immediately rip off the dealer frame and grab the hair dryer to remove the dealer logo/name from the paint. Then I go to the local auto parts store and buy a black metal frame. No print, no names, no nuttin. 🙂
