No particualar cooler can guarantee a certain overclock. It would be helpful to specific a price range.

No price range really. All the decent coolers seem to be ~$75.

Not really. Only the noctua I think. megahalems is like 50-60, as is the TRUE. The Xigmateks and the CCF/Vend2 are all around $35-40. I'd go for a Xigmatek S1283 or a TRUE

its garbage, but it would do well with your overclock, however an air sink would matchit without all that hassle.

I would get Megahalem + 2 Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000 push-pull undervolted personally. Then you can increase the fan speeds for when you really need it.

I guess that's overkill for 3.6GHz though.

If you get the Xigmatek, make sure to get the "Dark Knight" version as it comes with a 1366 mount. The normal one does not.

+1. One of the best bang for buck coolers out there.

I'll put my vote in for the Scythe Mugen 2, which goes for about 36-40$. I don't have large experiences with various coolers but mine beat the stock cooler by about 20C, and hovers around 60C at load for a minimal overclock. Probably not the best but it's cheaper than most coolers and I'm satisfied. I'll probably end up replacing the stock fan but for now no need.

I'm using a Noctua NH-U12P...mainly because i've had it for a while & they were the only company to send me a free 1366 mounting kit. Even though I didn't have proof of purchase, all they asked for was a picture of the retail box, a picture of the retail box of my new motherboard & the receipt for it. I took a pic, e-mailed it to them & got my mounting kit in about a week!
To me, that's top-notch service!
