What Level of Hardware Does NeverWinter Nights Take to Run Smoothly?

Howdy,
With Doom3 coming this August/September and since I never finished NeverWinter nights, thinking of upgrading my A7V333 based system. 😀

What level of CPU/RAM/VideoCard does it take to run NeverWinter Nights smoothly? On my existing system, before I upgraded the hard drive, it ran okay but not great. Is NeverWinter CPU bound or VideoCard bound?

Thanks for the input,

I understand Doom is gonna make heavy use of pixel and vertex shading.....which means your video card is gonna be important.

I have a 1st gen p4 (1.7GHz) with 1GB of RDRam, 64MB 1st gen Geforce3. NWN (and both expansions) run flawlessly in 1280x1024 at 32bit. I am sure it would run just as well if i had less RAM.

If you want to play Doom3, I wouldnt worry at all about the system requirements for NWN, just upgrade to exceed the recommended reqs for that.

Are there any good editor/trainer/cheater programs for NeverWinter Nights by the way?

I think I got around 1/2 or 2/3rds of the way through the first module of NeverWinter nights and lost interest, it was too complicated and not enough fun for what little free time I have.

Cheers,
