Getting off work on a Thursday afternoon and cruising home when it is 80F outside, relaxing and picturing that first ball getting duffed off the tee and laughing with my friends :)

A lot of times I just look forward to getting home to my son and hanging out with him. That brings me peace.

my 3 yr old daughter will say "daddy, i have a question for you" and i'll say "yes?" and she'll say "i love you"

or when i walk in the house after my commute home and she'll run up and yell "daddy!" and jump in my arms.

seeing my 10 month old daughter's face light up with laughter.

lying in bed next to my wife.

there are endless moments like these once you are married with a family.

A warm clean rain either standing in it, or sitting in a covered shelter outside.

A wicked drive through the mountains.

Hiking/Climbing to the top of a mountain and finally making it.

Achieving goal that was hard to achieve.

My two year old, who is the independant and a great trouble-maker, will occsaionally say the sweetest things, which are all the more endearing due to her mischievous nature.

Last night she ran up to me asked me to picke her up looked in my eyes, touched my face and said, "Daddy, you're nice to me, I love you Daddy." Just breaks your heart.

ding-ding! same for me. my oldest is 12, and instead of alienating me (like she does to her mom regularly), she will crawl into my lap sometimes and just give me a hug. its even better when all 3 of the kids do it. those are the things that keep me happy. as for "reason to live" and all, i have no reason to NOT want to live. nothing is worth taking my life or giving up on it, so i guess i cant really relate to the OPs question.

That first refreshing glass of bourbon in the morning. Also when my wife stops nagging me about drinking bourbon in the morning. Aaah, peaceful silence. :)

You make it sound like your life is an RPG that you just leveled up in. Can you do a whirlwind attack today or something? :p

Watching Lola Wiz taking a hot hot bath through the open window on a rainy night. Little times like those make me happy and thankful to be alive.

I concur. I was going to say looking into my son's eyes while I hold him... he has my eyes (we both have blue-grey eyes that look like marble)... it's like looking at a miniature version of me from 25 years ago, like a trip in a time machine.

Happiness comes in small doses folks. It's a cigarette, or a chocolate chip cookie, or a five second orgasm. That's it, ok! You cum, you eat the cookie, you smoke the butt, you go to sleep, you get up in the morning and go to fvcking work, ok!? That is it! End of fvcking list!

It's from the new book, ""Shut the Fvck Up", by Doctor Denis Leary. ;)

For me when that whole ambiguous stage with a girl ends... you know, it's all speculation until one detail lets you know the situation... if it goes positively at least! This is for that "one special girl", I think I'm about to feel that with someone that I've had feelings for for about 8 years and it's only now possibly happening! She was out of my life for 5, now is back out of no where and I couldn't be more happy.
