I got the new Big water SE liquid cooling system for X-Mass and the pump has slowly starting to sound like it REALY wants to die:( I need a new pump and i want something that is quality/efficient/quiet! can i get some good suggestions please! I searched the forums and to my surprise water pump didn't come up once! I did the research in Nov./Dec and it seamed that the Swiftech MP350 or MP655(which replaced the MP650 and apparently they fixed all the bugs) I'm bummed because i just finished polishing off the final build of was supposed to be "my master piece" machine and now the pump sounds like a mixer! > The only thing i had left to do is order the new proc and RAM and all this pump ****** is making for a very unwelcome speed bump!

I'm almost regretting posting that link here. Please don't throw it at every single thread you see [You haven't, but don't start doing so.] It is neither necessary nor useful in his kit.
If anything, it would cause problems.

I'd personally go with the MCP350 and do the inlet mod...or just go with the 655. Both are good pumps and will serve you well :)

I promise i will not repost the link but may i ask why? I guess it doesn't really matter!? I'll just take your word for it. I really like the looks and sound of that pump but i want to be able to connect directly to the power supply with out having to route an extra plug.

First, it is absolutely heavy-duty. Reposting it is fine, but reposting it in all "which pump should I get threads" is not.

That pump is used for extremely restrictive systems, usually a Storm with 2 GPU blocks, possibly more [NB, etc.] For the Bigwater system, it simply isn't necessary. A greater performance gain could be had from a different CPU block, larger tubing, radiator and so on.

Don't worry about what I said. Post it when it's appropriate ;) That's all I meant by it.
