Does your CSA not send out an email each week with a list of what's in it? How odd if not.

Anyway, as others said -- turnip or rutabaga.

here's what it looked like when we cut it in half. my fiance made a gratin out of it with some zucchini that also came w/ the CSA, and we ate it with a whole bronzino fish. whatever it was, it was damn good and i'd eat it again!
 
Kohlrabi is correct. I like to make soup with it because it has a sweet taste. But be careful cutting off the skin because the outer edges can be tough.
