What kind of TVs/Monitors do you play your consoles on?

I want to buy a nice TV/Monitor for playing consoles on, but I will also watch TV on this, and I will probably connect my PC to it too.

Somehow, I just cannot find something that would perform well as a PC monitor and would look great with console games. According to reviews, the TVs I looked at are either great for consoles and crappy for anything on the PC or wise versa. NOT both.

I really wanted to get a 3D TV or Monitor, but I want nothing less than 27 inches, and monitors/TV which are 3d capable at this size cost astronomical sums of money.

So I figured, never-mind the 3d. I just want something that will look great with console games, that I can watch TV on, and which can connect to my PC. Must be 27"-32", VESA compatible or otherwise compatible with some sort of a wall mount and cost around $250-500 give or take.

What do you use? any recommendations?

I picked up a Vizio 32" 1080p tv for $300 to use in my room. Vizio tv's are great for their price. You should check them out.

Epson 8350 throwing 200"

At work I use a LG 23" LED. It is pretty sweet. It comes with HDMI, DVI and the like so I can have my console and computer hooked up without having to switch cables.

1080p 32" LG for Consoles/PC/TV/Movies, I find it to be a great balance for all things I use it for. I picked it up for $350 two years ago.

23" Acer monitor with VGA for my Xbox and DVI for my PC.

I have tried playing on my 47" Vizio in my living room, but I don't like it for FPS games.

I sit about 4 or 5 feet away from an older 40" lcd in my office. If I'm in the living room I'm about 10 feet away from a 55"lcd.

Both work great.

Samsung Series 6 LED, 40".

Recently upgraded from a 32" Samsung 720p (I actually ran it at its native res of 1366x768, though) to the 40".

What's ironic is that when I first made the jump, I felt like the picture was actually worse (edge-lit LEDs have some brightness at the edges/uniformity issues, and the jaggies totally out of control during games). Plus, I absolutely detest all the gimicky features they shove in TVs now (FD Trinitron, how I miss thee), and I think I just lucked out that the old 32" just had a great picture.

Ended up ditching the Xbox 360's HDMI out in favor of VGA. The VGA signal smooths some of the edges, making jaggies much less noticeable, and it bypasses all the "dynamic super blackness" settings to give me smooth, balanced picture I wanted.

I use a Dell U2410 for all my 360 and PC gaming lately. I find that I can play FPS's better on smaller monitors rather than larger TVs.

For PS3 I switch between a 40" Samsung and a 55" Sony.

I feel the same way. I normally play on a 42" and have been since I got my xbox. I bought a 55" and thought "bigger TV, better game play". The picture was great but I couldnt do it. I seemed to be moving slower on FPS and ended up moving my xbox back to the 42".

I use an old Infocus X1 projector I got 8 years ago. Absolutely criminal how good it looks in motion outputting in 720p considering it has to downscale it to the projector's native 800x600 resolution, especially at large sizes. Back when I was in college I'd have it fill my entire wall at some crazy 150" size. At home though the angle of the roof more of less limits me to 80".

These days you can get a 720p projector off newegg for $400-500, though they might not be best if you want to use the display for EVERYTHING day and night as they are best when you have effective lighting control.

I use a 58" Samsung 1080p plasma for my 360 and PS3 (mainly blu-ray). Both gaming and TV viewing is awesome, but I definitely wish I would have went with the 63-65". And to think I held off cause it "might be too big." On the bright side I stayed on the less expensive side of things staying south of the 60" mark.

Still intrigued by a nice projector setup though...

I use a 40'' LED Samsung 1080p 120hz TV. Love it. Sit about 5 feet away from it.

50 inch 3D plasma.

I find that plasma looks way better than LCD for 30fps games. Way better 3D than LCD as well.

Thinking about a projector, as I have a completely light controlled room, but I don't want to give up 3D. If they make decent passive 3D projectors for under 2K, that'll probably be my next move.
