This page shows many different colorations. I found it by searching Google for "Georgia snakes." This snake was dark, but there was still a faint pattern.

Its posture was exactly like the last picture at the bottom, which says: "Kinked posture of rat snakes"

As you can see at 2m20s, its belly was mostly white, but some of the scales were black.

Yeah you are right, kings are banded. Black rat snakes looks like it matches.

I say Rat Snake also b/c of the patterning. Looks like the same pattern as a gray rat snake.

My first guess is a Black Rat Snake.

I don't think it's impossible for it to be a Kingsnake. They come in lots of different colors, and some might get that big.

It's not an Eastern Diamondback nor a Cottonmouth nor a Coral snake so it clearly isn't venomous. Pick it up and ask it what it is.

Considering it's size I would have guessed a rat snake myself. It sure was a patient snake. Didn't seem to care about you that much. I come across a lot of snakes at my lake house. The water moccasins and rattlesnakes can't stand being approached. They move like the wind. They are hard to catch when on the move.

I didn't get it.
I'll get my top men to help you with that... my top men.
I still don't get it :(
Really? It's from Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Guess I need to watch that one again. All I remember is that Indy is afraid of snakes.

Patient Snake 2: Waits Harder (almost gets run over).
Other side of town but in this much time there's a chance it's the same snake. Despite how my camera makes it appear, it is just as black as the other one.

Submitted as a video response.

Edit: Just noted that this is exactly 1 year after Ichinisan's snake. Looks like our friend's birthday is always fraught with snakes. Happy Birthday, George!
