Doctors later discovered the infant had an additional 27 broken bones, including both arms, both legs, a collarbone, and nine ribs. Some of the fractures were older than others, according to a later autopsy, a finding that seemed to indicate Jason had been injured?perhaps beaten?more than once.

You know . . . there's been times as a new parent . . . you get woken up at 4 in the morning. Or you get puked on . . . but getting mad seems like the farthest thing from your mind, at least in my experience. My son is one of the best things that ever happened to me, and I can't fathom doing anything to hurt him - and if anybody ever did anything to him like what this Midyette guy did to his son, look out. I don't know WTH screw is loose in this guy's head that he could do something like this, but he's definitely missing something.
