What kind of raises (if any) are you expecting this year?

I think I had a good work year but I am not expecting any raises this year. I worry that I am kind of overpaid and think the only way for me to move up in salary is to have more responsibilities (project lead, group supervisor etc). Unfortunately, I don't think I am suited for that type of job.

What about you guys?

Isn't it late in the year to get a raise ? Got my raise for 2004 already - back in May. For 2005, I'd be surprised to get any... got a promotion this past year though.

4% back in june. i had only been working there 6 months at the time.
next year i'm expecting them to offer an 8% raise, but i'm gonna try to negotiate for at least 12%. i'm way underpaid in my opinion. if we cant come to an agreement, i'm gone :)

We usually do our evaluation in the fall and pay raises (if any) at the end of the year. For exceptional people, they sometimes also get mid year raises.

You are one of the few people I have seen that say they are overpaid.

I got a 3.5% raise that went into effect August 1st. I'm actually a little underpaid as far as salary goes, but the benefits are great. I work at a hospital, and can usually manage to get any medication I might need for free. I've been taking Lipitor for high cholesterol for about a year now, and haven't had to pay for it yet. I've gotten celebrex, zyrtec, and antibiotics on several occasions. I get great insurance should I ever need it, and I accrue about 6.5 hours of personal time off every 2 weeks.

my boss and his boss and her boss are ironing out a re-org of our group

i should get a pay grade raise out of the deal/new job title if all goes well. it might be longer until the $ kicks in though, i dunno, but the hard work has paid off :)

None expected...
it's a minimum wage, part time job... at a hotel desk
restaurant in same building has a very simple policy
start at minimum wage and raise 10¢ after 1000 hours, then the same after each 680 hrs up to some cap.
i'd be near the 3rd or 4th step by now.

Anyway i'm stuck with that crappy policy...
i also get the same pay wether it's daytime or nighttime (midnight-7am... very boring shift)

I've been at my current position for about 4 months or so, my first review comes up in about 2 months. I'm expecting it to be pretty decent ... maybe 5% or so ... But I'm hoping for more.

My last raise was July 2002. I'm not expecting anything...just like my employer shouldn't expect a 2 week notice when I graduate and land a job in May.

Nothing really, 2% (lump sum), but I make a wage that is very high for my occupation (die maker).

I'm union.

Now the wife, she's very upwardy mobile. ;)

15% wouldn't surprise me.

I hope I'm not overpaid but I worry that I am. My title is application developer. It used to be software engineer. And when I look at the salary sites, I seem to be paid above average for my area and title (about $78K). I would definitely like more money though. I think I paid a little too much for my condo and I'm not saving as much money as I would like. I should probably stop buying so many DVDs and computer upgrade parts....

If I get an internship/coop job, I will go from 0 to 35-40k. That'd be really nice.
