I know back in the day when I went to auction that when the city sells the retired cop cars the older ones had restricter plates installed and the rev limiter was put back on so yes they are faster most likely with a bigger intake and the rev limiter remove. It will go faster then the one you can normally buy off the show room floor.

the power is basically the same, (235hp for crown victoria) but they are heavier and better equiped to plow vehicles off the road. Crown Vic tops out @ 130 mph.
there are of course special purpose vehicles like camaro/mustangs etc that are for high speed pursuits. But you are asking about typical, so there you go 😛
But what would they do if they got into a chase with a Bugatti Veyron?

Going 100mph+ while the cop car is just standing there on the highway going 0mph
Good chance you wont get caught if you just pound it and take the first exit.
Like I said friends, but if it makes your night you can replace friends with I.

You mean like this one?
The police?s use of their Lamborghini Gallardo won?t be limited to fair-weather driving: as well as the benefits of the Gallardo?s permanent four-wheel drive, during winter months it will also sport special ?Sottozero? snow tyres developed by Pirelli for Lamborghini.

what if you're a pro NASCAR driver? Can u outrun the police then with your driving skills?
as long as you don't have to make any right turns.
LOL, a good 1 😀 Actually Jeff Gordong (if im correct) participated in WRC rally event and won some kind of trophy, easy 😛 Just because nascar is boring doesnt mean the drivers suck 😛 Its not easy to maneuver the high spead heavy boat that is nascar 😛

how many NASCAR drivers have dies in accidents? or more correctly, how many cars have been destroyed thus far? i don't think that NASCAR drivers have better driving skill, but they do know how a car reacts in a high speed environment which might give them the edge in such a situation.Originally posted by: tjaisv

It's got a cop motor, a four forty cubic inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before the catalytic converter so it'll run good on regular gas.

Also in the case of the Veyron although it can out run both police cars and helicopters one would think they could just look up all of the 5 people in the US that probably own one and meet them at their house. 😛
Even the Veyron is not faster than the ol' Motorola's radio waves.Originally posted by: Dissipate
