I like taking photos of nature, animals, my dog, macro, plus landscapes. want to do a bit of astrophotography but haven't got it down yet.

I voted family / kids / newborns because I mostly want to take pictures of my daughters and family.

However, I enjoy taking all other types of pictures listed. I would add sports / action to the list. Probably, a majority of my photos are either landscapes or sports, because I'll tend to take a lot of photos when those are the subjects. But my main GOAL is to get good shots of my family. And of course, the categories overlap – I'll take portraits of my family, sports shots of my family, even macro photos of my family (eyeballs are fascinating!). Who knows, maybe in the future I'll take some Astro shots of a member of my family in orbit. :)

I'm with NAC on this one. I take photos of my kids, but I also do a lot of sports photography, since my kids are into sports (man, taking photos of football is TOUGH).

I have decent equipment but I'm pretty much a noob, though I can get good results generally. The problem for me is that I prefer to shoot with manual settings and sometimes, I'll get excited with a good shot and forget to check the settings and adjust as necessary.

I'm going to Germany and Austria in a few weeks and that will be another opportunity for me to take pictures of castles, cathedrals, etc. I am starting to debate selling my EOS 70D though and maybe going mirrorless.
Even though I shoot mostly fashion and portraits, I will pull my car over to get a great sunrise/sunset!

P.S.

You love Austria! I was there on business a few years back. I just sold my Canon 60D and bought a Panasonic GH4.
