What kind of performance do my fellow 6600GT users get in BF2?

With dynamic shadows, dynamic lights, and lighting set to medium, 1024x768, 2xAA, and all other settings set to high, I get framerates in the low 20's. I've seen threads with 6600GT users getting framerates in the 40's with those same settings. Could it be my relatively slow CPU holding me back, or is it a software issue?

Thanks in advance.

[system is in sig, except now i have 1.5GB RAM, which fixed all of the stuttering issues]

edit: i have the demo version of BF2

Just choose the built in medium option for video and then change the res from 800x600 to 1024x768 and see what you get then. That's what I run on my XP3000+, 1GB RAM, 9700pro system and I get an avg of about 45FPS. FPS changes greatly for me depending on if I'm walking around on the ground (35-45FPS) or flying around in a jet (70-90FPS).

Must be other bottlenecks, because those are the settings I play at on a 9800XT, and I dont ever get FPS issues other than those related to latency. I also only have the demo.

I have an ASUS N6600GT.

I run at 1024x768, Medium all, 4xAA.

I haven't checked the exact framerates, but I would know if it ran at 20, and it doesn't. The thing that seems to slow it down is running into smoke (as usual), and laying down in grass and looking at a large field of it.

Most of the time it runs just fine. I'll make a framerate check though.

I'm running the same video card at 1024x768 and I'm getting great frame rates when the game isn't lagging. I don't have AA turned on though and have the video settings set to medium. I'm more concerned about getting good performance in this game than I am about it looking pretty.

Running an AMD64 2800+ with 1GB of RAM.

Look in my sig below to see my specs...
In the BF2 Demo I am running at 1024x768, Medium Settings, NO Shadows or Dynamic Lighting, 4xAA and getting very good performance. I will try and check my FPS tonight on my but I haven't had any slowdowns even in the most chaotic and graphic intensive battles.

I am not overclocking anything on my system either so I have been quite pleased with the performance. I haven't tried any online play yet.

i run it at 1600x900 widescreen with no shadows or dyn lights and everything else on default. I didn't really bother tweaking it as I'm getting good enough fps.
